Advice to the founding group of Clínica Baviera on the takeover bid launched by the Chinese Group Aier Eye for the acquisition of 90% of the eye clinic group. The founding group has committed to remain 10% of the company’s share capital, remaining also members of the company’s management. Araoz & Rueda’s team has been led by partner Francisco Solchaga and associate Laura Vintanel.
The takeover bid has been launched at a price of 10.35 euros per share, pluss 0.22 euros of dividends, meaning a transaction value of more than 170,000,000 euros.
Aier Eye Hospital Group Co. Ltd. operates ophthalmic medical centers and hospitals. The group’s opthalmic services include ametropia, cataract, strabismus, corneal and ocular surface diseases, ocular trauma, ocular plastics, optometry and glasses. The company was founded on July 16, 2001 and is headquartered in Changsha, China.
