The activity of Araoz & Rueda in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, private equity and banking and finance and the continuous advice provided to groups of companies, has given rise in our firm to a new specialization in the area of insolvency law and restructuring, supported by prestigious professionals in complementary areas of practice, such as real estate, planning, labour, banking and finance and tax.

Thus, our firm has broad experience in real estate, ranging from advice to real estate companies and shopping centres and hotel chains to the acquisition of plots and their subsequent development, etc.

As far as for the labour practice is concerned, our firm has broad experience in all areas of labour law and, especially, as relates to insolvency law in the area of modification of labour conditions and collective and individual dismissals, participating in all stages of the different proceedings, including negotiation with the employees’ legal representatives.

In the banking and finance practice area, we provide regular advice in debt restructuring transactions (both insolvency and pre-insolvency), project finance, banking guarantees and financing of acquisitions, involving both national and cross-border transactions.

Our professionals also provide legal advice to companies in managerial crisis or in insolvency situations, offering our extensive experience in complex cases, including those in which the high amount of liabilities, the complex structure of the company or the activity of its business require specialized advice in order to successfully cope with the assignment.

Since 2006, between partners and collaborators, we have been involved in more than twenty insolvency proceedings, notwithstanding the advice provided to creditors in other insolvency proceedings.
